Performance Dining Card – Web Copy

Unlock your access to tasty, fresh foods!

The Performance Dining Card pilot provides Permanent Party Soldiers on Essential Station Messing better access to performance-focused food options by allowing dining in both dining facilities and non-dining facility venues on Fort Sill with a range of locations and operating hours.

{Card Image}  How it Works

The Performance Dining Card (PDC) is a pilot for Permanent Party Soldiers on Essential Station Messing at Fort Sill, OK.

1. Soldiers must opt-in to the pilot and agree to the terms and conditions for participation. Upon agreement, directions for PDC issuing and maintenance will be provided.

2. Soldiers will be asked to complete two online surveys. Both surveys will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. The Solider must show completion of both surveys for enrollment.
3. A total of $123 will be loaded on the card, beginning June 1, 2020.
4. Simply present your PDC to the cashier at any of the participating Fort Sill Dining Locations.

Note. For MWR locations, items with the Green Apple heart are eligible. For Exchange Food Court locations, the entire menu is eligible.
5. Funds will reload at the beginning of each month. If you don’t use the $123 by the end of the month, the funds will not transfer over.

6. The Fort Sill Pilot will last a 120 days. At the end of the pilot, the Soldier will be required to complete an exit survey.

{2.0 Criteria Image} What criteria is used for healthier options?

Participating venues will use the Army’s Go For Green 2.0 criterion for identifying “healthier” Green and Yellow- coded menu items for purchase by Permanent Party Soldiers on Essential Station Messing.

What makes a food Green, Yellow, or Red?

Foods and beverages are labeled Green, Yellow, or Red based on the nutritional quality of that food or ingredients. Nutrition quality considers nutrients such as: the amount and type of fat, amount of fiber, sugar content, degree of processing, and amount of naturally occurring vitamins and minerals.

●        Green: “High performance” foods - should be eaten often.

●        Yellow: “Moderate performance” foods - should be eaten occasionally.

●        Red: “Low performance” foods - should be eaten rarely.
